i have a JDM obd0 b16 that i am putting in my 91 ef dx the only part i am stuck on is the distributor plug. i have seen a couple different write ups about depinning and repinning but no colors seem to match up with my JDM b16 dizzy. im using the DX harness on the b16. i am pretty much looking for a pin out (in writing not colors) of both distributor plugs.

 

what are the colors on the b16 dizzy and what are the colors on your harness?

 

This is from a ZC into am Si see if any of these colors help or match up to what your workin with

should just be color to color, by your description the colors are the same...is ur car multiported yet?

 

iv wired everything but the distributor up so far. im stuck on it because theres 2 pairs of the same color wire. i know i could just run it to the ecu but id wrather just use my stock harness

 

are they the solid white wires??

 

its the two white/blues the two orange/blues and the two whites that are giving me trouble. im pretty sure i can get it close to where it needs to be but how bad would it mess my car up if they werent right? i could trial and error

 

factory B16A distributor connector is the same as the 88-91 Si connector - these are the wire locations for the DX and Si connectors - the blue/green and blue/yellow wires are the wires that need to be added from them ECU when making the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes

 

well thats definitely whats up. the plugs the same as that but the colors arent. that pics big help. thank you!

 

The orange wires on the main harness may appear
to be a tan or peach color after fading with time
and exposure to the elements..

Just start with the colors you are certain about,
work your way to the ones you aren't sure of..

how come on my DOHC ZC one plug is round and the other one is square?
round one(2wires) blue and black/yellow
abd squared(5wires) 2 peach, white/blue, orange and orange blue?
my cars a DX hatch btw

 

thats just how the plug is. every obd0 honda i know of has two plugs by the distribuotr. the two wire one is always the same

 

I believe the difference there is because the ZC has the cam position sensor
ajacent to one of the camshafts instead of inside the distributor..

 

im in the same situation,so what is needed to get those two wires? the (blue/green and blue/yellow? can the two zc cam sensor wires be put in the distributor plug?sorry if i sound dumb but i need some help on this
