searched but didnt get a definite answer, whats the limits on the stock itr/ctr valve train?
Whats the biggest cams i can use before having to upgrade the valvesprings and retainers?
i've seen alot of builds running s2s2's and blox b's on the stock itr valvetrain, even some with pro1's. Didnt know how long it lasted but just curious if its fine.
if i were to use s2s1 or bloxA's how high can i rev it and still be safe? same with s2s2's and blox b's?

Stock ITR springs bind at 11.7 mm, I believe. I can't imagine anyone using S2s2s or Blox B's on that valvetrain for long...

Anything after a stage 1 cam (which is usually about the same profile as a set of ITR or CTR cams) requires upgrading in my books. Im going to run ITR cams in a stock B16 head and rev it a bit, kinda risky but at least its all oem parts. IMO build it.

The charts and pics are down but the information you're looking for is still there.

11.7 mm of lift or greater on a ITR valvetrain is a recipe for disaster. You will most likely experience a coil bind related failure. Also, rev limits and rpms are not nearly as important as lift.
