Wrong ECU, runs better than stock ECU
so ever since i've had my EF si i have been running a pr4 ecu, i have a d15b7. I bought a pr6 and when i plugged it in to run my car. my car wouldnt drive. what could be the problem?
i think he means po6. the pr4 has a Ls map which would run better than the stock po6. Im assuming your converted to obd1? if not then you mean PM6 which would run like **** on a b7 cause its obd1 and the ecu is obd0. we need more info to help you out.
Oooooo lol i didnt know that. so a b15b7 is a obd1? and if i were to swap a gsr obd1 would i have to change any plugs? im sorry im just learning about cars.
well my friend has a D16y8 on his Dx Ek but hes runing a B16 ecu on it it revs up to like 8400 and some times he puts the si ecu on and it revs almost the same but it back revs way better

But you would need some harness work to swap that GSR in unless u run single harness and vtec sub with a jumper to obd1

i have a D15b7 in my crx and im using a PM6 ecu. runs like it should. passed smog and everything.
i used the OBD0 distributor and OBD0 ecu.
If you tried to start an engine with converted obd1 plugs at the distributor plugs and using a OBD0 ecu. it just would not start.
