I know it sounds like a dumb question but bear with me. 90 f22A1, 280,000 miles on it and uncle sam will be real nice to me in 2 weeks. I can get the basics locally, belts gaskets bearings etc. Local pistons are like 30 each for sealed power stock replacements. Last time I checked stock compression is like 8.9 or so and while I would love to throw a low boost turbo on it the reality is I will probably never get around to it. Is there pistons out there that are in the 9.5-9.8-1 range that dont cost $500? How much can I mill the head without heating or cracking problems? Figured on a cam gear If I did any milling to keep it timed properly. Sorry for all the dumb questions.
