Default 90 Accord dies while driving.

I just bought a 90 Accord last week and a few days later it died while driving down the highway. The battery light came on....the car struggled to maintain speed so I pulled to the side where it died. The speedometer had also dropped to 0 while driving before it died (other gauges might have too, don't remember, wasn't looking for it). Then I couldn't start it back up. I had a friend jump it and it started up right away. 2 days later it did the same thing. I took it to batteries plus and they said the battery seemed to be working. I have no idea what it is and am not good with cars. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a new alternator.
