Default my first ever build (1990 240 sx)

january 31 2010
--$300 1990 240 sx shell ... first build ever(not a nissan guy at all either so take it easy on me)

got the car dropped off at the house and started cleaning it out, and poking around the car.
checked out the car found 5 dents 3 on the passenger side quarer pannel these are very small(about pea sized).
on the driver side door there is a spot where it looks like someones door hit it.
and right behind the drivers door right above the side skirt is the worst looks like someone kicked it (about 4x5 inches)
the rear hatch is in baaaad condition it has that super awsome rubber spoiler on it that looks like someone tryed to rip off
resulting in a lot of rust, all windows are intact except the front...has 3 chips in it.

iside the car there was the stock cluster as well as a 300zx cluster,
1 window regulator, both side windows, steering wheel and horn, a pop up sunroof, a black dash with a small scrape above the cluster,
door moulding, exterior b pilliar cover, and a bunch of leaves and acorns lol.

i started cleaning out under the hood got about %35 done also removed the heat and a/c as well as blower motor.

plans for the week are, strip the faded window tint, get the bay stripped and cleaned then sanded down, and primed and if
im lucky painted (metalic purple).

the plan for this car is to be a weekend, backroad toy and im gonna try some auto x and maybe check out a track or two.
im not looking for a horse power monster ..im kinda aiming for a good looking reliable car that i can have fun with.

most of you guys im sure are gonna say somthing bout the heat and ac thing but oh well i dont need it my daily driver dosent have it
and im fine with that. i dont plan on putting the interior back in either (except the dash) i do plan on caging this car and dont see the point in
spending money for interior when my budget is tight enough as is. so im keeping it simple... cheap cd player, seats
, harnesses ,shift **** and steering wheel.

im not sure what motor im going to go with yet..either a ka24de-t or a sr20det, still trying to decide on that

Good luck man, great pickup for a good deal.

IMO if your under a budget, I would go KA-T. Stock internals of the KA's can handle some great power and you can spend a lot less doing so than you would to make the same power on an SR. Cheers
