... I have a '90 civic sedan and i was curious if the '88-'89 civic sedan tail lights will fit on my car?

Im only asking cause mine are screwed up and I came acrossed a clean set of '88 tail lights for cheap, damn near free!

 

is it all one piece ?

 

What do you mean "all one piece"?

There are the 2 outter tail lights and then the center garnish piece...

 

As far as mounting bolts, I believe all years 88-91 are the same.

Depending on trim, the lighting can be a little different; i.e. reverse lights on the 90-91 EF sedan LX/EX are different then DX.

i dont think they gonna fit and center garnish does it have the back up lights in it ?

 

I know that all '90-'91 sedans have the same tail lights (including the dx cause that mine)

'90-'91 have the reverse lights in the center garnish

'88-'89 have the reverse lights in the outter corner tail lights

Im only wondering about the mounting screws and the bulb sockets?

 

You can put 88-89 sedan tail lights on your 90-91 yes. It will mount up fine, but you will have to re route the reverse light wire from the trunk lid to the tail light cluster.

Incidentally it's more difficult swapping 90-91 tail lights onto an 88-89 because they don't have the cut out for the reverse lights in the trunk lid. Not that it matters, no one likes 90-91 tail lights anyway

i'm far from a connoisseur of sedans.. but imo i think the 90-91 lights look better.

 

nah, 88/89 JDM taillights are far better than the facelift tails, any paisa could make 90/91 jdm tails.

this is not my car but eventually im gonna spray mine like them with japanese taillight spray paint also since they look caliente...!!!
