opening the rear door with a handle?
The problem is the wife had the child proof locks engaged so no one inside the car can open a rear door... Add to that the outer door handle had broken and we now have a car with a rear door that cannot be opened.
Now I'm guessing that something has broken from the handle... But because the door can't be opened I can't remove the door panel to see what is happening inside.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to open the door when the outer door handle is broken and the inside handle is set to child proof? I've taken many a door apart but have never come up against this problem before.
Its a 2000 Accord EX 4 door.
Any suggestions are welcome.

yeah, you'll have to maybe get a clothes hanger and try n use that to catch the latch inside the door panel to pull it open. that way you can pass that child proof lock. it helps tho is you have some reference as to there you want to start poking around. i think the easiest wy is just pay someone to open it up if u can afford it.
