Default apexi n1 exhaust

I know of a dude with a apexi n1 exhaust on this site I think he name is devin and he has a yellow rex. I was just wondering how it sounds and did you get custom pipping. a friend of mind has one for sale and I'm going to buy it and do custom pipping all the way back. I going to put some bends it so it isn't so loud. Just wondering if you had any suggestions.

I believe for the N1 u have to custom piping. And yes it's loud - a bit too loud for my liking.

Are you stalking Devin?!? jk

More seriously, the N1 will be louder then most exhaust applications. Like ^ said, you will need custom piping to use one.

Yea I love the N1 But right now its just way to loud ...Im running a DC Jdm 4-1 with onlt a cat ...You cant really have a quite convo. inside the car lets say ... With a resonator it would sound much much better ! Id recomend it If you want something semi loud ...

my friend had his N1 muffler straight piped, it was the loudest POS ive ever seen or heard, my recomondations would be keep your cat and put the silencer in then i may bring the noise level down a little

I have a 90 crx si. When i get my swap in i want to put the n1 on with custom piping.... I was wondering a few different things before i do it, what is the collector size on the stock jdm b16a1 exhaust manifold? I also want to get a high flow cat for it and i was wondering what one to get? i saw one in summit for like 60 bucks and another for like 90. I planned on getting 2.25 piping for it and of course mine is going to be angled. How do they angle the pipe on these when they put a custom exhaust on? That must be one hell of an angle cuz i looked under my car today and i saw like no room for an exhaust....hmmmm. anyhow let me know what i should tell the guys to do when they put it on so it doesnt look dumb.thanks again. Ryan.

N1 will definitely be loud even with custom piping imo as I had the HKS Hiper 3" w/ custom piping and even that was loud. So with the smaller diameter piping and from what I have seen on other peoples' cars, no matter how you do it, it will be pretty loud. If you don't want loud...I'd go with a Greddy.
