B16 Idles real high
So my b16 idles really high when i start motor cold, it idles at about 3000 rpm until it warms up and then returns to 850, i think its my FITV, and i know there is a way to adjust it, i read that i can open it up and tighten the plunger in the FITV, but how do i know how tight to do it, does that sound right?
You should trouble shoot it. Un plug the fitv and start it. If your idle is really low then it is the fitv. Still high then you must keep looking. I am sure you have 2 idle controle valves one under the throttle and one on the back of the Manifold. The one on the back of the manifold is the only one that has a plug
its not the iacv (behind manifold) cuz i can adjust that with my s300, and lower the idle speed, and i will try that, just tighten it till it stops on its own, should i use any kind of thread locker? on the plunger screw *(keep in mind if their isnt a plunger screw then lemme know, i have never opened up a FITV, so im just imagining what im going to see lol)
