hello i have a 95 accord with the vtec and when i start my car it will squeal loudly for about 10 seconds and then if i rev it up itll go away, sometimes it'll go away and come back when i slow down to almost a stop. It sounded like the power steering pump so i replaced it along with the belt and it still does it. Any thoughts?? another thing is it has a real high idle when u first start it for the 1st minute or 2. sometimes it will jump for a minute or 2 as well lke 1000rpm to 2000 back to 1000 pretty fast. Any help would be really appreated.

 

It will idle higher when cold to help the car heat up, till it reaches a certain temp then the computer will take it over with readings from the O2 sensor and other sensors to go back to normal idle. As for the squealing it probably could be your belt most likely. Is it tight? They do get lose every now and then from wear, so you have to adjust them after so often.
