Can someone recommend some injectors for us?? D16Y8 and B18B
Sup all.
Finally decided to go boost and sold off trash for this.
My brother has a 96 Integra and I have a 99 DX with a Y8. Were both going eBay turbo kits (made up our mind) with stock internals. I believe I already found our tuner but were still shopping around.
Im trying to shoot for 170whp maybe less depending on the set up but I want some good mid end power. Hes shooting for around 220 since we rode in some guy that was pushing that on a stock B18B and that thing was fast.
Im hoping the head gasket or something blows and my motor doesn't throw a rod.
So with that said in mind, what CC injectors do you guys recommend? I dont want to go too high if it isn't necessary. Ive heard people talk about H22 injectors and I have a spare resistor box left over since my brother got RC injectors for his ZC+T set up.
Thanks!
PS: I MUST be able to beat a Type-S.

budget and ems?
just throwing a dart, 450's and a resistor box.
BUT if you have the money to get saturated injectors, 550cc's you wont need a resistor box.

Budget is low, as in super low.
So 450s for the both of us?? I just sold my xbox so I can have cash to pick em up.

A set of dsm 450cc will be cheap and work just fine. you will even have room to play around with. but as for using ebay turbo kits. get a cast manifold do to all the SS mani's crack from ebay. just a heads up i'll give you. as for a resistor box. you also can just go to radio shack and get 10ohm resistors. and wire them between the injector wires.
If cheap is your main criteria, then DSM 450s are hard to beat. On gasoline, those should allow you to break into the upper 200's at the ground which is enough for your goals. Buying 2 sets of 450s and 2 resistor boxes shouldn't run you any more than maybe $150.
Okay cool beans I appreciate your help pps.
My brosef bought his previous injectors from eGay. Any other online shops you guys recommend so I can order them?

I would check www.hondamarketplace.com in the Classifieds: Forced Induction section. There is a treasure trove of parts there...

Precision 440cc injectors would be the cheapest "brand new" solution.
Otherwise, look for some clean dsm injectors & a resistor box.

Ill check out the market place.
I found some 450CC DSM injectors on eGay for about ~$75 shipped.
Well both need the resistor box right?
and would any resistor box work? I found some 450CC's with resister box but the box looks different than others.

Found that set up, didnt look too bad. But its 390CC and you guys recommended 450's for the both of us.

Okay picked up 4 450cc injectors and picking up the other 4 tomorrow.
Can a car be tuned with an OEM clutch or does it need a stage x clutch? My brother has a Stage 2 and I have the OEM with about 5000 miles on it.
If I do need the clutch ill just wait out on the install, but im just curious.

You should switch the clutch before the dyno...it would suck to get there, get strapped on and toast the clutch during one of the first pulls. It would be more expensive to cheap out in this instance. You dont need to get anything too fancy, but i would get something better than an OEM clutch. I would prefer something cerametallic as the organic (lower torque rated) clutches can glaze easier
Can the car still be tuned on OEM clutch?? The clutch has maybe 1000-1500 on it and never raced on it. I know for a fact it wont hold the power, but it can be tuned right?
Any recommendations on what clutch to get? I know clutches are rated at torque but im not sure what torque im going to get. Im hoping for 160ish whp for my Y8, and my brother is pushing for 200whp on his B18B.
