I've called dealers and gotten the radio code over the phone. Just give them the serial number. You might need call a few as some of them don't want to do it. Make sure you write it down for future reference.

i need help getting my code, when i called honda, they gave me a code that didnt work

vin 1HGEJ8245XL018005

radio serial number M98D113889

code they gave me was 22313

 

I have the same problem with my newly bought 1992 Acura Legend. The code I got with the car does not work. I removed the panel and, under the radio, there is a Bose sticker with the following:

143744 / 149334
S/N: 056686

Can you please help me find the right code?

Thank you for any help offer. The numbers I could see under the radio were not the true serial number (SN). I found the right SN on the left side of the radio after I pulled it out COMPLETELY! I called Honda and faxed them a copy of my license and the car registration number. The code was then given to me over the phone. So, the key is if you have this problem, make sure the radio is completely pulled out to look for the code. Thanks again.
