Hey, i am trying to get my HB on the road, cuz my VW is a pile. I needed to buy a starter and alternator because i was jumping my starter for awhile an it made my alt. go bad, so i replaced them both an when i try to start the car with the key nothing happens. I get all the lights fuel pump turns on, but will not crank. I can jump start the starter and the car will run. what can I do to fix this problem? the ground wire is connected an the connector is connected.

 

buy a manual lol. it takes some trouble shooting. start here.
1) check ALL fuses.
2) connectors btw starter and the fuse box.
3) starter relay
4) ignition (in steering column)
5) you cooked some wiring

Check for loose connections battery,starter.

Check your ignition switch, mine was bad in the crank position. I got all the lights also but no crank.

New switch is like 50 bucks from honda.
