Default Sluggish accord

I have a 1994 accord 5sp manual, and sometimes while im in gear (only does this in gear) it'll start acting sluggish... Literally feels like somethings pulling the car back, and sometimes it'll back fire and jerk back and forth. Now when this happens I usually step on the gas a bit more and it pulls through and returns to running normal... Does this every now and then while im driving it... Whats the problem? Thanks

Concur, doing general maintenance items will certainly help.

Oil Change, Tranny fluid change, coolant change added to that list will definitely help especially if you haven't done them in awhile.

****, depending on mileage/condition you may consider seafoaming too.
