im currently in the process of building my lsvtec. I have gotten all the nessessary parts back from the machine shop and am ready to assemble the motor. i just have a few questions about my builf that im curious to know. Kinda so i have an idea what to expect out of this motor.


My build

B16 head (ported n polished)
Blox dual valvesprings
Skunk2 retainers
b16 cams
Vision Motorsports cam gears
B16 intake manifold(port macthed to throttle body and head)
70mm throttle body
hytech replica longtube header
3" mandrel bent exhaust

B18b 81.5mm bore
Golden eagle block guard
Endyne Roller Wave 12.5.1 forged pistons
Eagle H beam rods
Balanced rotating assembly
Fidanza 7.5lb flywheel
Act HD r6 clutch
chipped P28

Basically what im asking is what kind of power number should i expect out of this basic build???

Also Im planning on upgrading to better cams before i get tuned. Im looking at Blox HSL cams (high speed lift). They seems to have great lift for all motor and some duration.

please Let me know if there are places i can make improvement with bolt ons or anything. Im gunna try to get tuned on 93 pump gas. This is my street car so Im on a small street budget.

okay so the skunk2 pro 1s or the blox type c cams i should see good becent power gains??? About how much because im trying to get 200+whp on pump gas. Is it possible with these cams and compression?

 

It's possible with either of those two types of cams as long as the rest of your build is done properly and it's tuned right. Check out the 1.8L all motor dyno thread if you want to see what kind of power different part combinations make.
