scratch on muffler

i hav a scratch on my exhaust when i hit a curb.... shoudl i polish it back up witha solvent etc?? what solvent is best used

Its gonna gat scratched anyway, I wouldn't waist the time trying to keep my exhaust looking brand new. Paint it flat black and call it a day
