What the hood!?!?!
Alright, so I have been out of the honda game for a bit but as soon as spring rolls around im selling this POS mazdaspeed6 and getting my Si out of storage.
So it seems every magazine I open up or picture I look at I notice the rear portion of peoples hoods are all sticking up about an inch or so? I never saw this a few years ago and now its everywhere. What gives!?!

Basically the new ricer trend.
People "prop" the hood by buying longer bolts and stuffing a bunch of washers between the bracket and the hood.
It can be functional, but it is usually done for "looks".

pretty much everything started on aircooled VWs from low offsets, low ride heights, wire tucks, engine swaps, shaved anything... the list goes on, but anytime you ask "where did this start" (in the import scene) it will always lead to these things.
even "herbie's" hood was propped.

it's like man, dude, dawg, etc., I remember mang when I was in high school 10 years ago in the Houston and all over the south, but recently noticed people in Cali using the term also
