Default My new (to me) 92' Integra RS

Hey guys, this is my first Integra. I have a mint 1990 civic Si, but the DOHC ZC in it blew, so it's for sale as a shell now:

Anyways, I picked up a clean 92 integra rs for $1000 a couple nights ago. Only 183,000km on the body and it has a swapped b18b1 in it. The cars runs well, all it needs is left lower ball joint, right upper ball joint and a heater blower motor which i picked up today. Got some plans for this car, just gonna keep it clean and JDM. It's already lowered on Tein S. Tech's, and it has a short shifter and intake. The body has a bit of rust on it, but it'll be dealt with. heres some pics of the car, and some with my buddies VR6 VW Corrado:

I'm in Oshawa Ontario. I'm selling the shell with some brand new in the box parts:
Invidia N1 cat back exhaust
Skunk2 Racing lowering springs
Magnaflow high flow cat &
Brand new OEM front bumper painted ready to install.

I'm asking $2,000obo but i'd be happy with $1,800 for everything. The cars mint though, really solid floors and underbody. 0 rust on the quarter panels, and the interior is mint. Here's the ad:http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ182710433

Oh, I know. I love the si, but I can't insure it. I'm a 16 year old male, and theres only one insurance company that offers decent rates to young guys. And they decided to make a rule that they won't be insuring cars 20 years or older anymore. and the civic happens to be 20 this month, so i can't get it insured. I called about 25 different places and the cheapest I got quoted was about $405/month, which is way too much for me I wish I could keep it though

picked up some new parts today! I bought Tokico Illuminas with Ground Control coilover sleevs, DA GSR interior (front/rear seats and trunk mat), and a Skunk2 MegaPower cat back exhaust system. Can't wait to install everything...should have the interior in soon. I'll try to get the exhaust system and coilovers installed soon too. I got some pics of the exhaust and coilovers, none of the interior yet. I'll have some shots of it soon though!

thanks guys! I have the car at the shop in my school. Just finished repairing the drivers side floor. It was all rusted out and stuff, so we cut out a big patch and welded one in. I used roof patching/tar to seal it all up on the top, and I'm just gonna use asphalt undercoating on the bottom probably. I'm dying to get the car back, but before I can put the interior back in, I have to hunt down a trunk/fuel door cable. They are both seized up Once I get that, I'll put the carpet all together, and install the GSR interior :D Then hopefully I can install the exhaust system and use the magnaflow cat I have sittin around. The cat on the car has no flanges on either side, so I guess I'll have to buy a flange and weld it onto the manifold...ughh so much work lol

...unless I buy that Megan header now. hmmmmmm lol

So I got the full gsr interior installed today I fixed the cable for the fuel door, but the trunk one is still broken. I can't be bothered to fix it now. So i just slapped the carpet down and installed all the interior. I'll just use the key for the trunk, not a big deal. I also pulled the front struts out with the tein springs on them. Hopefully gettin the illuminas and GC's installed this week. The exhaust should also be in soon too. Does anyone know the diameter of the stock integra exhaust? I want to connect my 2" magnaflow cat to the exhaust, so I'm going to buy an adapter to connect whatever the stock diameter just before the cat is to my 2" cat. Is it like 1 7/8? Anyway, that's the update. Hopefully the car will be outta the shop by Friday night. With full gsr interior, Skunk2 mega power exhaust, magnaflow cat, and tokico\GC suspension :D

so I installed the front coilovers today, and a couple of my buddies put in the rears and put the car on the ground (when I wasn't there). They said its like 2 finger gap in the front and like almost stock in the back. I felt like puking lol. From when the coilovers were off the car, they were like a little less than halfway down the thread I'd say...shouldn't the car be lower than what i described? this is how they looked when i put em in:

Does my description of how low the car is sound about right, judging by the pic?

Anyway...they're installed, so I'm happy. Once I lower them down some more I'll be even more happy lol; but they're on. Hopefully I'll have the Skunk2 exhaust and Magnaflow cat installed either tomorrow or friday. Than this weekend, I'll take the car for emission test and safety test. If it passes, I'll phone up the insurance company, and she'll be on the road!

Update: Got the Skunk2 exhaust and magnaflow cat installed today. Only took about an hour and a bit to rip out the old one, and install the new stuff. Sounds AMAZING...I highly recommend this exhaust to anyone with a DA. So the car is practically done, and ready to be emission tested and certified. In the last two and a half weeks, my buddy and I:
-Replaced left lower ball joint
-Replaced right upper control arm
-Installed four Goodyear Nordic winter tyres
-Cut/welded/repaired/patched drivers side floor (took so long!)
-Installed Skunk2 MegaPower exhaust and Magnaflow cat
-Installed GSR interior
-Installed Tokico Illuminas and Ground Control coilovers

Took the car for a quick spin today...it felt/sounded amazing. Can't wait to get it fully on the road and drive it everyday! Also have to install the bleached out 90-91 OEM tails. :D I'll have pictures of the car up ASAP!

Oh, the 'rado is my buddies car. Wicked cars though, corrados are one of the sickest cars ever built IMO. He's gettin rid of it soon actually. Head gasket blew, and he just can't afford the cost of maintaining an old VW. We're gonna do the head gasket, sell it, and I'm convincing him to buy an EG! hahah, come to the dark side

yep, for sure...expensive cars to keep up.

Anyway, I took the car for the safety and e test yesterday. Passed the safety no problem...but it failed emissions test. Everything was normal, but the NO ppm (NOx). This is my reading:

This week I'm hopefully going to get to the bottom of it, fix it, and pass the emissions test. THEN I can proceed with the build

hey guys...so nothin' has happened lately really. my car passed the e test/safety, so I'm just waiting on insurance; than it's on the road finally! I have everything installed (exhaust/cat, coilovers, and gsr interior). I tried to lower the rears more yesterday, and I'm pretty sure I stripped the allen bolt, so that sucks. Maybe I'll call Ground Control and see what they can do.

Also, I have a set of 90-91 (clear/red) tails, and I have the stock 92-93 tails (amber, red, clear) on the car...not sure which I want to use. Any suggestions? I took all the pink lines out of the 90-91 tails (Castrol super clean trick). Umm, what else...thats about it for now. Just trying to save my money, and appreciate what I got. I'll start gettin' some new parts probably within a couple weeks

Next purchases:
JDM one piece headlights
Amber bumper lights
Rims/tires

**Some rims I had in mind: LS meshies, Konig (heliums, feathers, retracks) etc....any suggestions on good rims? maybe Rotas...if I see a good enough deal lol and no crazy expensive rims (Work, Volk, Enkei etc)

so I was going to only get jdm one pieces, amber bumper lights, and rims/tires until summer time...but I found a good deal on this; so I bought it lol

MOMO Tuner 320mm. Pretty good condition, I just have to get a hub for it!
