Default my old EG is.. OLD? (what to replace to get better ride feeling?)

Maybe I am asking too much for a 9 years old Car.. but... I wish I can work little by little to make it better than it is now..

I feel that the ride is not good (well compared to newer car of course)..
what I want to know:
is the problem lies with the suspension?
will a set of new shock/springs solve the problem? or actually the arms of the suspensions with its bushings are already too old?

I see people do 5 lugs conversion on EG.. what is involved in that process? (Which part is changed?)

TIA!

Not good as in:
1. lean too much when turning (stock suspension/Spring)
2. shaky on 90+ MPH
3. shaky hard Braking

kinda hard for me to explain.. hehe..
but I am comparing my beater to my "used to be" daily driven ITR.
Frankly I wish the difference between these 2 cars is not that much so I won't be adjusting too much when I drive one or the other.

EDIT: I want to make the EG closer to the ITR... handling and brake wise.. (not power).

I sure hope you are doing this 90+mph on a track. If you came by me that fast on the road. Id call the cops out on your ***. Im not trying to flame you or whatever I've often thought about the same thing as you are asking here. But keep in mind our families are out on the road with you.

Try the suggestion of new springs, shocks, bushings ect.

Do u have the stock wheels?

My car was shaky on 90+ until I got 15" by 6.5" Rota SLipstreams with 205/50/15 Kumhos.

If you have stock wheels then you might think of getting wider wheels.

umm.. i understand the concern. but if i called the cops on everyone who went 90mph+ while i was on the freeway, i don't think the operator would appreciate me at all.
i might even call the cops on myself on rare occasion.

you might want to consider the springs and new tires idea

new suspension is recommended.. and its your rotors that is prob wrap when you brake. And I think a Type R suspension is not hard to install

1. lean too much when turning (stock suspension/Spring)
2. shaky on 90+ MPH
3. shaky hard Braking
1. New shocks, springs, rear anti-roll bar
2. Wheel balance, new rotors
3. New rotors, pads, bleed fluid

That's where I'd start.

suspension bushings, some new brake rotors and pads, shocks, springs, and sounds like a good balance on the wheels (should go with some new ones all together though)
then come back if it is still shaky

I am not a young kiddo who got excited with a car, but when I get a new car, I will try it fast and hard at least once to see how the car react.
I bet you ran 90+ once in your car too..
HeHe.. no offense taken nor I feel the flames.. I need not prove anything on the street.. just see my Trophy from AutoX is enough. LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions..

Edit: Forgot to mention that the reason I complain is because this is my daily driver, I AutoX with an ITR.. the gap between this 2 car stock to stock is too high.. I want to make it closer.. so when I jump into the R, I don't feel that much change.

It's a 93 EG SI. stock.
^_^.. Fellas from ITR forum bet that I will have a B series Engine in it in 1 year..
but I can't have 2 Money Pit right? and the Money Pit is the R..
(I will work on the EG myself on my spare time).

also, I don't need too much power.. not a dragger.. I'd rather autox.

The question is what would you do to your ITR to make up the gap between it and a hatch with an ITR motor, good suspension, and good brakes?

Really though, the car probably feels floaty because of blown/soft struts. Try some stiffer springs as well as stiffer struts.

As far as shakiness goes it's been covered - wheel balancing and new rotors/pads etc. should cure that.
