Just bought a nice 77 CVCC Wagon
I'm new to these old honda's. Have no idea where to begin. A buddy of mine pointed me to a couple websites. Including this one. Where can I purchase weatherstripping? Do they sell interior kits? I'm not gonna do anything fancy with mine. Just want a stock daily driver. It really doesn't need much. Any advice would be appriciated. I checked out the thread with all the sites for parts and stuff but haven't found anything for I'm looking for.
I'm in So Cal. any local shops out here?

Congrat. on your new, old used CVCC wagon.
. Parts for these cars will be hard to come by, but you will find parts here and there on Ebay, local yards, and Honda dealers nationwide, Car Parts, Nopi. Good luck with your CVCC and post some pictures if you get a chance....

Thanks guys. I've been doing searches and lots of reading and It sounds like they don't really make any reproduction parts. This outta be fun. I'm glad I don't need too much. Do they have anything like the Antique Swapmeet in Pomona/Orange for imports? I don't remember seeing any imports other than porche's and VW's. mainly all Chevy's and Fords. I really look forward to checking out the import car show's. Maybe dropping in on some of the meets/cruises. I mainly got interested in these 1stgenhonda's because they're different and don't see too many of them on the street. Plus they're so compact and better on gas than my F350. I almost bought a 70' N600 complete for $400 but I don't think it would've been on the road for at least a couple years. I came across this wagon and to my surprise for $500/registered/complete I'm driving it now. Just got it smogged today and changed the title to my name. I couldn't be happier. Already get alot of looks and my kids think it's pretty cool.
That's pretty sweet man. The only big meets are JCCS and Motoring J-Style. Both are in Southern CA. There is starting to get more and more nostalgic Japanese car meets popping up, but Hondas rarely seem to show up. I went to a few big swap meets hoping there might be something I was interested in, but really, I think the internet has killed the swap meets. Nothing but a bunch of garbage 4 barrel carbs and junk Chevy 350 parts. I saw maybe ONE Weber carb at this huge swap meet in Portland. It was pretty disappointing. Well, I take that back, there was an engine someone was selling complete for an 81 Accord sitting right at the entrance. But it was pretty much the only Japanese thing there other than a 280Z with, you guessed it, a 350 swap. ZzZZzZ. I have much respect for the SBC, but it got really boring seeing the same parts over and over.

I just joined over there too. When is that JCCS show? I keep checking the website but no date yet. I'll be around. I haven't been this excited since getting a new bike for Christmas back when I was a kid. I got the engine compartment all cleaned up yesterday. What a difference. I should've took before and after pics. I'm impressed. Not that I know much but everything looks well maintained or new.
My slammin days are over bro. I wanna keep this baby stock. Although I gotta say, they do like awesome full custom. My son love's that red 78' that's all custom. I don't think I got the cash or time for that. I bought this just to drop and pick up the kids from school. Trying to save gas $$$. gotta admit though, I think I caught the bug. Maybe if the overtime kicks in again I may do something with it. Or hell, maybe I'll buy another one.
for anyone looking for weatherstripping for your early cvcc. I managed to find something that worked great for me. I took the weatherstripping off of this early 70's toyota four door. They actually fit pretty damn good on my 77 wagon. I've only experimented on the front doors at this time. They fit exactly all around the door except for the bottom. All the clips match up around the door and the mold around the window frame. I'll post pic's of the weatherstripping installed on the door later tomorrow. Hope this helps some of you.
