91' CRX HF Headgasket Replacement HELP! Overheated
I have a stock 91' CRX HF that recently overheated with white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I had it towed back home. It was running fine up until a couple days ago. I have not driven the car since the day it overheated. The next day I check the engine oil to discover nothing other than a mixture of engine oil and coolant which looked like a chocolate milkshake in appearance. Damn!!! I also checked the radiator but it looked normal.
Can someone who has had experience with this share any knowledge? What are some suggestions to fix this problem without overhauling the motor? I was thinking about pulling off the head and getting it resurfaced because it might be warped, along with a new headgasket set and flushing the block completely with fresh oil before putting it all back together with hopes of having a good running motor?

yeah was it a light brown creamy color? just resurface your head get a new gasket and then you might want to replace your water pump.
do exactly what you said. tear it apart, resurface the head, do the gaskets/seals, flush it, change the oil and all that good stuff and BAM you should be good to go.
Yeah it is a light brown creamy color. Ok I was just wondering what is the best way to flush out the block completely to rid of all the coolant contaminated oil?
