Hey guys so I have an ej8 (its an ex if that helps) and like any used car its got issues. SO! The engine is the stock d16y8. No other mods other than some ghetto valve cover paint lol. I went to autozone to check my ecu codes and it gave me misfire codes for cylinders 1 and 3. It also gave me ignition misfire code. The ignition is kinda jacked gotta jiggle the **** outta it to turn the key. When the car starts, its a slow rough start. I thought it might've been the starter so I took the starter off my d16z6, and it still starts the same. Best way to describe it, is it turns over really slow. However, when It drives it drives like a champ.

Any ideas or solutions to fix this?
Btw, i gave it close to a full tune up. New oil and filter, tranny fluid, all new spark plugs and wires. I even used some seafoam on it. If you need any info i check my posts regularly so that those who are helping aren't waiting on my reply. I plan on ordering a new ignition. There was some shitty security system on it aka spliced to ****ing hell system as I called it to give you further info. The alarm did not effect the start seeing as how we've torn almost all of it out. Thanks for any help.

It idles really low. I have no clue how the car even runs so that's just extra info. I'm gonna clean the valves on the intake but i'm thinking it's something else.

 

check the battery

 

I already did that. I should've included that part. Battery is brand new.

 

Check for drains on the battery.
