Hey there,
I'm rebuilding my tranny for a number of reasons, but one is to put a 4.058 FD out of a EG dx coupe. I have a 91 CRX with an Si tranny.
I noticed when I would assembling the counter shaft with my si gears that the 1st gear had a lot of play once it was all pressed together.
I then noticed that the eg counter shaft is a little longer than the ef counter shaft.
So my problem is... is it even possible to put an eg FD and counter shaft into an ef tranny case? And do I just need to use the EG gears on the countershaft to get rid of the play (no play with eg gears on the eg shaft).
Any help would be great. Thanks
