Can a keyless entry system be installed on a 2010 civic base model dx?

I am buying a new civic and the only options that matter to me are a/c and keyless entry. Here in Canada you can get a trim called dx with a/c(but no keyless entry) and a dx-g which does have both the a/c and keyless entry. Only problem is the dx-g costs $1300 more. So i want to know can i have a keyless entry system set up on the base model?

I called a local shop and they said it can't be done on that car, which i don't understand why not..

 

it can be done, i did it on my 2008 civic dx-a, all you need it to buy a set of Alarm/Keyless entry kit
