Anyone actually buy or sell an ITR recently? How much?

So I've had my 2000 ITR since I bought it new. My girlfriend and I have two cars right now, and I really like both - one being obviously the ITR, and the other being a 99 miata that's fully prepped for autocross. Well, we really need a practical car. I'm going through the difficult decision of deciding which car to keep.
Anyway, this decision depends on how much the ITR will actually go for. Unfortunately for this car you can't really use the edmunds tmv, or blue book, or whatever, since there are so few. And reading the for sale postings...I see cars for sale, but there's no feedback as to if they sold or what they actually sold for. I can't just sell it because I need to have the next car lined up since we need two cars. So I'm curious if anyone on here has either bought or sold an ITR in the last couple years, for how much, and just a brief description of things that would affect the price a lot like approx. mileage, title status, and how modified it is.
As an aside, my car is 2000 FBP with 97k miles, and is mostly stock. It has a clean title although it did have a somewhat major accident maybe 9 years ago, but this was just messed up body panels and whatnot and was repaired completely by a very good body shop with all OEM parts and the repairs has gone this long without issues so I expect them to go the life of the car. Since then no accidents and nothing else really of note. Everything works perfectly, maintenance has been done, and the car runs great.
So I'm particularly curious about cars similar to mine but really I'd be interested in hearing about any ITR sales at all even if they're totally different. Anyone?

I bought my '01 ITR in June/09 from the original owner for #15.6k with 100k mileage. Some light mods, PIC suspension, ect.
If I were you I'd sell the Miata, being that you're the OG owner to your ITR I'd hold on to it forever or as long as possible. Just MP. For me, buying from the OG owner was a great selling point, I think some people will pay more for that reason.

I sold my 2000 Black Type R in 2008 for $15K... Probably could have gotten more; I was the original owner, 5X,000 miles on heR, no accidents and completely stock.
Would have kept it, but a theft attempt at work caused me to move on...
Of course I'm still on this forum, so I haven't moved very far!

I'm actually not thinking it'll be very soon that I sell - I'm thinking along the lines of 1-2 years from now or so, absolute bare minimum of maybe 6 months from now. I'm just planning right now.
PaulMc and blackacker, thanks that's great input, exactly what I'm looking for!
I bought my R October 09, 86K, clean title, cars been in light accident that needed replacement of front bumper and one fender...got it for 10K...was listed for 12K.
The market is at a rock bottom for ITR's right now, blame it on the economy perhaps but it's low. I'm a firm believer that the unmolested R's will gain value in a few years with the ever shortening supply and hopefully some sort of economic recovery. The fact of the matter is most people do not have the means nor deem it necessary to either purchase or continue to own a toy car in this market at a decent value so the prices adjust lower accordingly.
Here's an example
2007-sold my first R which was all sorts of modified and not clean to any stretch of the immagination. 140k miles, 4th owner for $13,000
This year I pick up a bone stock, clean title 98 with 130k for 9k and a bone stock, clean title 01 for 8k. Plus I know of many others that have picked up R's for rock bottom prices that we wouldn't of seen 2 years ago.

I would say your car (without doing a detailed inspection) is realistically worth 10-12k in PA.
If it was a CA car, they are worth a lil more because the market is stronger there.

Based on the variables you've answered i would appraise your car to bring a Max of $14k if you hold out for the right buyer (3-6 months), and a low of $11K in the event you are looking for a quicker sale. Right now is a horrible time to sell though. Winter months in your region should be your biggest concern.
Could you please send your badge # and VIN to username Doespike. It has probably been a long time since you've paid attention to these boards, but Joe (Doespike) has started keeping a log/registry of any data that he can get his hands on for reference purposes years down the road. If you don't feel comfortable sending it to him immediately and would like to feel him out first i understand. I know that he would appreciate hearing from you though. Original owners info is very hard to find these days bc so many have been sold, stolen, and rebuilt over the years.
Best of luck with your decision. I hope it works out for you. I'm local to you right now BTW. I wish i knew as we could have met up during the warmer months. I'm relocating this Spring.

OP will have a very tough time selling for $14k
This fine specimen has been on ebay multiple times for the past 2 months and cannot crack $15,900 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-IN...item2a0417b197

I would sell the Miata. They aren't THAT cool anyway.
People mostly aren't out splurging on Integra Type Rs right now because of the economy and the ones that are buying them want cheap ones. I would hold on to it for a couple more years. Numbers will go down because more will be totaled, tracked, built, etc and so it will be even harder to find a clean stock ITR.

id sell the car i didn't like the most. I value my car more than the money it will pull. I would give it up if it meant getting a better car, like an NSX or something.
More details of the "somewhat major accident"?
Hold on to it if you can, the market is all screwed up right now, from cars to properties..

I'm not saying prices aren't down and I'm not saying that this car is or isn't worth any particular price. I'm just saying that, based on experience, I don't find eBay bids to be an accurate measure of how much a car is worth.
The days of wanting gold for your ITR are done. Anybody who pays near $14K is a down right sucker, fanboi, living the life of 1999. The market is in the tank and the value of the car is in the posession of the buyer.
Good luck finding a buyer with hard cash for the vehicle. Id be surprised to find a bank that will provide FULL LOAN VALUE AND TAX for the vehicle. Its a 10 year old vehicle. I know I am being negative nancy but Im bringing the hard truth to you.

My experience is that low-volume cars on eBay often get lower bids than they could be sold for in person in a private sale. I can only guess that this is because there is a perceived risk factor on eBay that may not apply when sold through other means.

Theirs a lot to factor up when it comes to purchasing an ITR, and how much is it actually worth paying for. I wouldn't have paid what I did for a 2000 ITR, I paid what I did because I bought the last year of production, clean title, mileage, OG owner, all original, ect, it might not mean jack ****, but who knows what it may mean 20 years from now.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. One may be willing to pay 20k for the same thing that one is only willing to pay 10k for. We're not talking a mass-produced car here that you can find at any used auto place on the side of the road.
All car sales are in the tank. When you make $10-$12 an hour, it takes forever to save up $10,000.
I agree with 'migs' .... the banks don't loan money on old cars.
If you want $$$$ for you R , it with Autotrader's until it's sold for $59

Somewhere I read that the OP wanted $14K. Sorry if it comes across harsh but what Cali weed is he smoking? Unless he plans on sitting on the car at that price, he is just going to sit on the car at that price. Yes PaulMC, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For any buyer considering $14K for a 10 year old Civic, ooops, I mean Integra, has a serious case of delusional disorder. These cars arent jewels anymore fellas. They are just steroid injected Civics.
That's your opinion, you're in the ITR forum and I'm sure more then haf of us in here will most likely disagree with you. The car wasn't a jewel when it was made, it's considered a jewel 20 years later when it's still in an near condition as it was when it was new, therefore, they have yet to even become *jewels*.
