WTT/WTS 89 SI hatch.......maybe
Hello,
At the moment I am testing the waters for my 89 civic SI hatch. I bought the Si awhile ago and haven’t had the time or money to get things going. I have hit a patch of bad luck and will be looking to either trade the EF or sell it with the parts I have accrued. I would like to trade it for an automatic civic in good condition. My reason for doing this, the girlfriend had her car totaled and insurance company said we’d be getting $500 if we’re lucky. Since we both work in completely directions, having one car just is not working out.
I will be as honest and forthright as I can be. I drive this everyday to and from work.
The 1989 Civic Si has 220k and change on it.
Straight body and clean title.
The d16a6 is leaking oil, which is why I purchased the d16z6 for a swap (see link below). Brakes are decent,
Interior is what you’d expect from the EF (driver side seat torn a little and minor blemishes here and there).
AC system does work, but could use a recharge (But lets face it 99% of the EF owners out there remove it anyways).
Suspension is ok, could use new struts.
Rear hatch does stay open so the hatch supports are ok, but I wouldn’t expect them to last too much longer.
The tires are 195-60-14 Pontenza 960as and are still in awesome condition.
The stereo is a simple tape player. I’ve had way too many systems stolen from me, so I just left the pos in there for the radio.
Transmission shifts smoothly, no pops or grinds.
CV shafts are clicking
And a rock cracked my windshield this morning
I’m not the kind of person who races my cars. The EF is in the same state as it was when I first got it.
Just looking for offers cash or trade or cash plus trade. We’d be able to add and extra $500 on top of the Si and parts. For the trade you may give me, ask yourself, would you put a loved one in it and let them drive it. I just ask that the car in trade is in good condition, drivable and not needing any major work.

I'm open to any reasonable offer really. I forgot to mention I installed the 15/16 MC as well. I put $1500 OBO on craigslist for everything. Didn't think that was unreasonable for what you're getting.

I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking some more pictures of the car after work. Also, my girlfriend just let me know that because of the accident and not being able to get to work for the past week, we don’t have enough for rent. So if needed, I will be showing the car today after work, I don’t care if I have to show the car at midnight, it needs to go tonight or by tomorrow night at the latest.
Also, let me know if you are interested in the car only, or if you would like everything.
