charcol canister
is there a way to remove the charcol canister? i tried to take it out and my motor was sluggen a lot. is it becuase the red hose that goes to the tb is unpluged? thanks
from the solenoid on your map sensor (looks like a small cylinder with a line off the side) run a hose to the top of the throttle body, to the fitting that is closer to the front of the car. the map sensor itself is a small rectangular box, and the line that comes off goes into a tee fitting. one side gets plugged, the other goes to the other fitting on the throttle body, right on top.
Why take it out to begin with?

The same goes for the purge solenoid valve, the piece mounted on the firewall that has the smaller vacuum line going to the canister. Plug it too.
Then there's the vent line from the fuel tank. You're going to smell raw gasoline fumes if you just leave it open. Plugging it may not let your tank breath, eventually causing a vacuum that may cause fuel delivery problems.
