Default Auto Trans Question

ive been looking for an answer to this question for a while now, but my problem is i have a dx auto with a d16z6 engine now, my car will shift at 6500 at wot, the only time i can get it to go past that is in 1st and if i hold it in gear. my other problem is that my torque converter is going into lock up, both the transmission and torque converter are both rebuilt since the motor swap in january. any help would be great. btw i am running a chipped p28 auto ecu.

Honda automatics will always upshift before the redline. If you want performance you aren't going to find it with an automatic, swap in a 5 speed.

I don't even know what to say to this, but no.

HXs don't use a conventional automatic, they use a CVT. I don't know why you mentioned DX and EX ECUs, the OP already stated he's using a P28 (EX ECU) Why you would suggest that someone use a Y8 ECU that A. wont work with an OBD1 tranny, B. will look for several sensors that aren't pressent, and C. will have ignition timing issues is beyond me.
