Default Frustrated with my 96 Civic LX

96 Civic LX 205,000 miles.

When I brake I get a nasty shimmy in the steering wheel but no feedback in the pedal. This shimmy is accompanied by a noise best described as a "gronking" sound like metal on metal under pressure.

Now everyone's first assumption is the discs are warped, they are brand new. Below is a list of everything that has been replaced in the last two months.

Wheel bearings front
Passenger tie rod end
Passenger CV axle
Both rotors
Pads (twice just to be sure)
Both calipers

Nothing seems to help and it is steadily getting worse.

Driver's side tie rod is a little sloppy but seems to be in spec. Struts appear to be ok from a visual inspection and the caliper carriers seem to be true. Ball joints appear to be ok.

I am out of ideas and running out of money and beer to feed my friends to help me work on it.

My current theory is that tie rod end and the lower control arm bushings may be the culprit, but any ideas are worth a try.

Thanks in advance for the help and oh yeah Hi!!
