b16a 1st gen
i have a b16a in my 91 civic hatch. i need to replace the oil pan gasket, what year and model should i ask for.(I dont know where the engine came from) I want to buy the parts before dropping the oil pan. Someone told me my engine is the 1st generation b16a. Any suggestion will be awesome. thanks.
Crush the metal grommets? You will break the studs/bolts before you could ever crush those.
You can use any B-Series (B16 or B18) pan gasket... When you are getting parts you will be most likely more compatible with 90-92 Integra parts (cap and rotor, sensors, ect). If you need B16 specific like internal parts then use a Del Sol VTEC (1995 DOHC).
The reason for the Integra is if you need to replace oh let's say an injector, and you go with a 99-00' SI then it will now work without modification to your vehicle.
