di6z6 converters- i have a quetion concening the driver side motor mount
did you guys switch it to the 88-91 mount.meaning the 88-91 mount on the z6 block then using the 88-91 bushing mount?cuz that;s what i did and my motor is tilted and banging the frame
Yes, use the 88-91 mount on the Z6 block. Where the mount bolts to the frame it will be tilted a little maybe even enough to where the mount is sideways enough to touch inside the frame mounting spot. I've done that swap twice and it did it both times.
You could slot out one of the mounting holes on the 88-91 bracket in order to turn the mount back to its position. I was thinking about doing this, but so far I've just left it. It doesn't hit the frame, and I've had it that way for about 2 years....was thinking of fixing it but I'm just lazy....
