Post 94 accord vtec not engaging

ok so i have a 94 accord ex, it will not get into vtec, instead it hits a rev limiter at 4800 rpms, i have checked the timing, its good and no slack, i replaced the pressure switch on the vtec solenoid and still no change, any help would be great, thanks

Sounds like your in limp mode. Have you checked for any codes on your ecu?

check the grounds also ... vtec will not engage if one sensor is not properly connected
