ok my swap is complete but my h22 wont pull is hard as it should i know it should go faster but it wont i cant even hear my vtec pop
currently im running it on a p28 ecu which was givin to me by a friend who said its chipped an tuned im thinking its the ecu but unsure i dont even know how to tell if its chipped or anything so please HELP!!

what is your question? how to tell if its chipped? open the case and look for the chip in the bottom right corner like this

you really cant tell if its "tuned" unless you pull information off the chip with a chip burner or emulator. might be best to just get a stock h22 map burned onto the chip

well the chip is the black piece, the blue is a zif socket. see the little silver latch on the left..that clamps the chip in making it easier/faster to insert/remove the chip

I know when I did my swap the wiring for the vtec was wrong and it put the car into limp mode, so I would check the wiring.
I would also suggest using a p13 ecu or see if you could borrow one. That way you can know if it is the ecu or the wiring.

tuned p28 will be fine, only disadvantage is no IAB control so you should unplug the vaccuum line from the IAB solenoid to keep them held open at all times
what mods does the car have? basic bolt-ons dont really require a tune, it would be more cost effective to just get an h22 map

just the cat back exhaust lowered nothing really so ya basics..... and what is IAB control?
ok my next question is my vtec wont pop and im wondering why because it seems all wired up right so yaa idk about that

IAB's are butterfly valves inside the intake manifold. they are closed at lower rpm and then open up at higher rpm to increase airflow. basically vtec for your intake manifold
looks like this...

as far as vtec..are you just not hearing it "pop" or is it actually not working? i know my gsr was never really that loud especially in lower gears. are you getting any CELs?

As for the IABs not working. The IAB circuit can be enabled on the P28 ECU by adding a few components to the ECU's main board. There are electronics kits that can be purchased for the addition of the IAB circuit. I have converted a few P28 & P06 ECUs to run the IAB system. But if you don't want to bother the direct to manifold vacuum hose activation works but isn't optimal.
all good points and i learned an lil something . im thinking the vtec is wired wrong . when i did my swap i had the vtec wired incorrectly and didnt have much power after 5 gran had to search the wiring diagrams for correct placement .
