Default Probing the exhaust manifold.

D16Z6 with a GReddy kit. Got a GReddy Exhaust Temp. Gauge with probe. Where should I take it to get the probe tapped into the exhaust manifold? Any exhaust shop? Anyone esle who's done this, what did you pay?

theres your answer, if use the search for "egt" forced induction archived.

i did mine myself, very simple if you have the right tools. if you drill it out before the turbo, make sure you get ALL the metal shavings out of your manifold so it doenst go into your turbo.

Thanks. For all the ranking on noobs for not searching what do I do.....not search.

Ok, so I understand it's best to mount it in the manifold, but really, what are the chances of the probe breaking and going into the turbo. I don't really wanna replace that anytime soon. After the turbo be alright? How big of a difference would the reading be on the gauge?

If you install the probe after the turbo then your egt might be off by like 200 degrees. Or that is what I have noticed on some cars.
