Default Best strut/spring combination under $500

I'm looking for the best aftermarket strut/spring combination under $500

I dont care if you can get koni yellows/gc for $800, or cheap coilovers for $550.

Looking for something with a 2-2.5" drop all around.

Then there is no such best. Spend 50 bucks more and buy Progress.

I've heard a lot of knowledgeable people say, STOCK SOHC DX included, who say that the only cheap shock/spring setups worth buying are the Progress for $550 and Koni/GC for $800. Above that options expand. Below $800 and everything but the above mentioned setups is apparently junk.
