Thanks. Also check out my 89 Civic SI Hatchback that my dad usually runs in CSP, and I sometimes run in EP 288,xxx miles on the ticker of that thing.

Actually, in my area, 1st gen CRXs and 3rd gen civics (84-87) are quite popular, as Mr HondaGuru, Mike Ancas www.speednation.com is from the Pittsburgh area. Great tuning advice from him is always welcome

the "check out my car, what do you think of it?" posts are restricted to the "pictures of your vehicle...." thread which is at the top of the thread list. as soon as a mod gets to it your thread will be locked.

oh yeah, in before lock.

Sorry, but this doesn't appear to be the routine:

"Look at my car's asthetics..."

This is a racecar that IMO could inspre some nice technical discussions.

I think it's a tad extreme to lock a thread just because it has a picture in it.

well you all better get the technical discussion going before a mod checks out the forum.

I think it's a tad extreme to lock a thread just because it has a picture in it.
they only lock post that say "hey check out my phat ride yo!" and have pictures of the cars in there. if you have a technical problem and provide a picture for better understanding, that is fine (and encouraged!).

Ground Control coilover sleeves with Eibach 450 lb. race springs on KYB gas shocks in back
after noticing the spring rate, i was wondering if you have had any problems with the kyb shocks. i know the agxs have a hard time handling those types of spring rates...

The KYB's are definitely on their way out, but only after a couple of other things get done (like head replacement, swap to DCOE carbs, lexan windows, rear sway bar). The KYB's are half decent enough to still be holding up.

I've dealt with OPM (see my LSD). We'd all love Koni's, but other things come first The Illuminas aren't too bad I just slapped on up front. I've got Koni single adjustables on my 89 Civic SI, and I love em. $$$ though.

I'm already considering OPM's rear adjustable swaybar.

This winter I've got a source for a few sets of OPM look-alike camber plates from aluminum if there is interest.

I've still got stock lines, and stock rotors. My brakes ROCK for auto-x. My 89 Civic Hatchback SI has SS lines (goodridge), stock brembo blanks, and EBC greenstuff pads, and it's not even close to the same feel.

My brakes get quite warm after an auto-x, but never any fade (DOT 5 fluid, regularly flushed since it's synthetic)

AEM pads are made by Nissin. (not Nissan).

I agree. I do apologize for the post, as I didn't realize the rules ( I know, ignorance of the law is no excuse). It's definitely not a "What wheels should I run? " or "What body kit looks best" type of post. Just a "Hey, here's the result of a lot of work, here are the choices that were made along the way".

All about supply and demand. They fill a nitch of parts that are hard to find. Even though I think some of their prices are high, I'm glad they're around.
