how do u change a distributor?????????

Default how do u change a distributor?????????

hey whats up fellas i just found out my distrubutor bearing busted loose or some **** like that but i need to get a new distributor and i was wondering if u guys can point me in the right direction on how to change a distributor on a 92 honda civic si ......well thanks in advanced

very very simple. You can first unbolt your distributor cap, There are three bolts you will have to remove to do this, Then you will have to get a little pick or a very small screwdriver and remove the two electrical connectors on the back side of the dist. Then once you have them disconnected you will need a 12mm socket a 4-6" extention and you will remove the three bolts holding the dist to the head. But before you pull the distributor off make sure you use a sharpie marker or something to mark the location of the dist on the head, Then once you have done this carfully pull the dist off the head. Then find a little rag or something and stick it in the hole so oil wont get all over the place. It will only be a little oil but if your as **** as I am about a clean engine you will have to do this.
