need of pics for 2 engines
Hello..a friend of ours bought a 97 b18c5 motor..to swap into a 2000 civic si...the problems are starting already..some of them are air intake temp sensor is not on the b18c5 but it is on the original motor, the dizzy on the b18c5 has a blue wire on the bottom which is not on the civic si....there is a vaccuum port on the b18c5 but there isn't 1 on the civic si
Post in the hybrid forum. Just because it is an ITR part does not mean we know everything there is to know about swapping it into another Honda.
And FWIW, not all ITR parts will not work correctly in a 2000 Civic Si. I think your friend got taken.
But, post the VIN number on the motor. There was a mid-year change in motors and some of them work but some of them do not.

The port on the back side of the intake mani goes to the evap purge solenoid that is attached to the fire wall on an ITR. Some FYI the ITR purge solenoid is specific to the ITR and not interchangeable with a GSR or LS version. So if you are running an ITR engine harness you will have to get the ITR purge solenoid. Hope this helps. I am swaping a 98 ITR into a 95 DB8 and am learning alot when it comes to smog stuff.
