What is the serial # under the B18C5 stamp? Does the motor still have the VIN tag on it? If so, what is it?

Post in the hybrid forum. Just because it is an ITR part does not mean we know everything there is to know about swapping it into another Honda.

And FWIW, not all ITR parts will not work correctly in a 2000 Civic Si. I think your friend got taken.

But, post the VIN number on the motor. There was a mid-year change in motors and some of them work but some of them do not.

The port on the back side of the intake mani goes to the evap purge solenoid that is attached to the fire wall on an ITR. Some FYI the ITR purge solenoid is specific to the ITR and not interchangeable with a GSR or LS version. So if you are running an ITR engine harness you will have to get the ITR purge solenoid. Hope this helps. I am swaping a 98 ITR into a 95 DB8 and am learning alot when it comes to smog stuff.
