Default To those who own 99-00 Civic Si......

Have you guys dyno'd your car completely stock with an AEM CAI? I know a lot of people hear you gain this or that, but if anyone could post their own dyno sheet if possible, that would be helpful. Thanks!

its minimal
maybe 3-4 hp at the most

you gotta understand, not every engine reacts the same way
there are SO many factors that go into reading horsepower.

I was looking for various dyno sheets so I can get a rough idea of what it does throughout the powerband. I don't care if it goes no gains or 10hp gains. That's why I wanted to hear feedback from different b16a owners.

well a CAI will give you a little drop in HP/torque in the low end (below 2500) but its pretty much a gain everywhere above that. there is a significant increase in the midrange and hignend.

Man, I've read so many different opinions on CAI or short ram and there's only a couple things I can say for sure. Nothing gives you anything significant unless the rest of your car is tuned and you forgot about the intake. Now I'm going to go have a

I slapped an AEM CAI on my D16Y8 with no other mods and gained 7hp at the wheels.

My AEM CAI hurt my throttle response but it feels like there is such a gain in the upper revs that it makes it worth it.

A friend of mine has the Comptech Icebox and it is nearly the same gains but the throttle response seems to be better.

I've got no dynos to back up any gains but the throttle response is very noticable between the two.

will the cai not make u lose torque in lower rpm's if u have an exhasut system because i heard that on a car with no exhaust on it cai's will build back pressure because the piping isn't big enough...just wondering
