Clutch
I got my transmission fixed after two weeks. Honda told me that the clutch is kinda bad. The flywheel needs to be resurfaced or get a new one. They said it would probably be over a grand for parts and labor. Should I get the stock clutch or just go aftermarket. The stock one with Honda is like 425(without flywheel). That price is pretty equal to an aftermarket clutch I was looking at procivic.com. Is the clutch procivic sells good? They sells the ACT clutch kits.
ACT is GARBAGE! Stay away from their HD and XT pressure plates, the stock master cylinder can't handle these and will blow, the worst part about ACT is the geometry is bad and pedal operation won't fully disengage the pressure plate.

Hey guys i use ACT and CC in my shop and never had a problem with the clutch
All the issues with the clutch is because a poor install
I use ACT since 1998 and I NEVER had a problem CC is a excellent clutch too

Its still hard to get into gear downshifting 2nd the 1st and upshifting 1st to 2nd at high rpms. I have been told a new slave cylinder can fix this??? I dont wanna spend money on the wrong thing so let me know.
Actually an adjustable slave cylinder is what you need. You can order OmniPower USA clutch master clyinder. It's bigger in diamter and requires much less pedal travel but the down side is the pedal is really stiff. I have installed more than a few on customers cars and one on my 95 Si.
Yeah until they started making K series stuff.
Unless you install the disk or flywheel backwards I don't see how you can do a poor install. The clutch was reinstalled 2 more times and the problem didnt go away. Also, a quart of hydro fluid was bleed out of the system and there were ZERO air bubble in it.
The only product I will ever sell from ACT is their flywheels. If a customer is settling on ACT and can't afford a better clutch I usually discount our labor and or product until they can.
It's amazing when a manufacturer won't return email or phone calls and place you on terminal hold when doo doo goes bad.

get an exedy, either the oem replacement or stage 1. not sure how good they are for the k-series (haven't heard anything bad), but me and a few other friends had them on b-series cars and never had any issues
