Default car dies at idle with cams

its a 91 ef hatch with a b18b motor...and car is running obd2 right now...and we installed cams..don't know the duration but the intake lift is 214 and exhaust lift is 228...if motor is cold, car will die automaticly..gotta rev the motor at 1k for about a min or less for it to idle and not die..whats wrong with this? or is there anything i did wrong?

lmao, if that's the lift it's 2/5ths less lift than stock cam specs.

if it's the duration it's a few degrees less than stock cam specs.

So what you did wrong was you installed unidentified cams. So you have no idea what they are designed to be degreed to.

And when you install large cams, of course it won't idle unless you bump idle and tune.

You need a new motor now.

No, you need a tune.

Nobody told him how to fix it, Eighty-Nyne said "

Buy adjustable cam gears->take it to a tuner.

here's the cam specs...advertised duration is intake/228 exh/246....and he's cam settings is, exh. advance 3 intake is advance 2 degrees...isn't it suppose to be the other way around...retard on the exhaust and advance on the intake cam...if we had a dyno from where im from then i would take it..but we got no access to any dynos...so how can i set this?

this is probably something you should have looked into before installing those cams then. they are not just install and go. you need a tuner and a dyno to make them work properly. it's not as simple as just advancing or retarding the cams. you better find someone who can chip/tune hondas, otherwise those cams are most likely coming back out.

Very true,
OP i suggest you go online or make some phone calls, try to find a "tuner" near by,
You'll probably have to drive somewhere.
Where are you anyway? maybe we can help you find a "tuner".
