Rear disc w/o swapping suspension?
I've been searching and reading but can't find a clear answer on some questions I have.
1) Can I just use the caliper brackets (and calipers, pads, etc.) from a CRX to put discs on the rear of my '90 HB (See the first picture)? Will it bolt to the trailing arms on my car?
2) Is the caliper bracket removable from the trailing arm of a '90-'93 Integra? It doesn't look like it from the manual (See the second picture).
3) Also, I saw on the Super Street website that they simply bolted a bracket to the trailing arm to use some aftermarket setup (See third picture). Has anyone done this with factory calipers and brackets?
Basically I'm looking for an alternative to swapping the trailing arms.
Thanks!

I've heard this is possible, but i've never seen it. I have both crx/civic and integra trailing arms in my garage. they're both bolted to the trailing arm with star bits.
Yeah the crx and da rear calipers and pads are the same, and the caliper bracket should fit too.
You should make certain you can for sure remove those bolts alright, the integra trailing arms that I have are extremely rusted on the caliper bracket,(so rusty i decided not to use them) which is removable on the DA btw.

are disc brakes even needed on a 2100 pound car? Most people want them for looks now a days. Back to the OP's Q. I was always under the impression that you need the complete trailing arm to do the swap (aside from the correct prop valve) but now you have me thinking also. And yes most of our (old cars) have those insanely rusted star bits that are a bitch to remove when they are in good shape. I guess you can grind the heads off and remove the studs but... Keep this thread going.
IMO I would rather have to drill out or cut off 4 bolts than swap the entire rear suspension.
You should be able to switch the spindle from the disc trailing arms onto your stock trailing arms by removing the spindle nut and the 4 star bit bolts. You'll still need the correct hoses and brake cables.

you can def do this. i did. i mounted DA spindles on my dx trailing arms.
isn't that what fastbrakes.com does with thier drum to disc conversion?
Shoot I'm definatley getting disc for the looks I don't care they look better and ALSO have better performance. whether my car was 2100 or 1100 I think they look good and have better heat displacement
BTW I got a CRX Si rear disc conversion (I also got the CRX Si Fronts) so it might be what your lookin for

I want to try to make an adapter to use the drum brake cables. But if that doesn't pan out, I have found them new for around $80 or less for a pair.
I've seen this picture a few different places on the 'net:

The spindle on the right is what my 1990 hatchback had. The one on the left has a different bolt pattern, and there are other possible differences as well.
However, I think that if you measure the distances between the bolts, you can tell which one you have. See the picture below:

Hey terror storm. To avoid confusion and get more participants for the rear disk bracket we should stop using this thread and focus more on your other.
