New clutch problems...
Ok so bought a 91 civic with a 4spd with a slipping clutch with the intention of swapping it to a 5 speed and putting a new clutch in it. I got a 5spd tranny out of an si and then i bought a new exedy clutch kit from a1auto.com. Got everything apart and the flywheel resurfaced and turns out the clutch and pressure plate are too big. So i dont know whats going on, the receipt says i bought a clutch for a 90-91 civic 1.5 and 1.6 motor and the serial numbers match. So i figured that i maybe had a flywheel from an 89 or the motor was an 89. Then i took the flywheel out of a 95 z6 i had laying around and same problem. Anyone got an idea?? im thinkin they just sent the wrong clutch....
its been awhile.. but i think the 88 trannies had smaller flywheels, clutches, etc. maybe thats what you have?
see if you can figure out what exactly you have. i'd start there lol

well i thought maybe i had an 88 flywheel, so i figured id take apart a z6 i had lying around and the flywheels were the same size, so im pretty sure they sent me the wrong clutch kit. I think im just gunna call the company monday when there open and see if they will send me the right clutch.
Yea, pretty sure its the wrong one. Its weird though because all the serial numbers match. But who knows, so ill just call tomorrow and see if i can get the right one sent.
