Default did my timing belt today. having an issue with idle

ok so today i did my timing belt and waterpump on my 1st gen crv. ive done motor swaps but never did a timing belt before.

i went to the dealer to get the 50mm crank pully tool and to talk to my buddy who is a tech there and he lent me a service manual for my crv. i followed all the steps in the book and i even turned the crank and cams to make sure no valves were hitting any pistons.

when i first started it when i was done i noticed it running a little rough. i tried adjusting the dizzy a little bit to see if that helped and nothing. its just barely rough but its enough that i notice it. i do alot of long distance driving and im about to drive to vt next month so this needs to be fixed, and i have this crank pully tool on rent from the dealer till monday.

your probably off a tooth. you can be off a tooth and not bend valves. what motor do you have in your crv.

b20z it looked like the marks on the cams wernt perfectly the same direction. i tried to turn the exhaust cam to be even with the intake but the valve springs were holding it too tight. i guess i have to take it all apart then.

ok so today i woke up and took the car back apart again and fixed the cam. it was def off a tooth but now it runs perfect. but now my powersteering is all f**ked up! at first it was skipping and chattering so i adjusted the tension on it and its just not working at all. could i have gotten air into it by just lifting it up and laying it on the intake?
