Have u tried to put a type r ecu on gsr?? HOw does it pull compare with the gsr ecu??? Did u guys get any check engine...Is it worth buying??? thanks for all the feedback

 

Works fine plugs in. You need a skunk2 manifold in order to work properly and maybe the type r cams etc.

 

won't run right, no controll of secondary runners, vtec engagement at 5700? rpm i forgot as opposed to 4400 on a P72. it would work good with cams and a skunk2 manifold.

 

exactly. I had type R cams in my gsr and installed a jdm spec R ecu and it hit vtec hard!! but below vtec it kinda lags

 

I have a 2000 GS-R, and I tried plugging in a 2000 ITR ECU before. The car started and then after like 2 seconds of running it shut off. I tried it again but the next few times it wouldn't start at all. Why would it do that? Is it that anti-theft thingy that keeps it from operating with a different computer? Thanks.

 

I heard from a friend of mine that the 2000 ecu has some sort of restrictions on it so u will be better with 98...and thats what im looking for...

 

I've got my 98 ITR ecu, if you want it make me an offer. I'm running the AEM EMS with 720's and upgrading to 5bar map, so no more use for stock ecu. PM or email.
