Replacement Bodypart Question
Hey guys .. well heres the deal. I had a truck back up into me about a year ago. My car is lowered so they didnt damage my bumper at all but banged up front passanger side fender and hood.
Well my question is about replacement parts. I have checked online and seen alot of pretty cheap replacement parts that are "steel".
What I am wondering is if these parts are the same quality or will look the same after paint as our oem parts. I am really just wondering if after paint you will be able to tell the part is different from factory.
Thanks

Not speaking from personal experience, but rather from what I have seen over the years online.
It's a mixed bag of feedback wherever you go. The majority of people say that brands like Certifit (aka "Sorta-fit") don't line up the same as the OEM parts do, while others swear by their products and have had no issues lining up body panels. It may have more to do with their ability (or lack of) to properly install the parts rather than the product being defective.
The plastics (bumpers, etc) do seem to be more problematic than the metal body parts. (hoods, fenders, etc.)
Finesse and general know-how can go a long way. It also helps to have patience.
