Lower Prices for 2010 Acura TL !!
2WD Base - $31,683
2WD Tech - $34,604
SH-AWD Base - $34,393
SH-AWD Tech - $37,859
SH-AWD Tech w/ HPT - $38,766
If you are in a neighbourhood where Acura are providing dealer support of $2,000 per car, this is what the dealers are quoting for most of the people who show up ready to buy.
All parts of the dealer network do not have the $2,000 cash back, but many (if not most) of the large metro markets (Los Angeles and District of Columbia/MD/Virginia) will be able to offer these prices to people with good credit who are seriously willing and able to purchase.
Most of these same markets will also be able to offer 1.9% financing for 60 months.
Whether or not you like the car's looks, you have to admit that these are extraordinary prices for a very high quality, high technology vehicle.

Can you explain the package difference to us GK? Not that I'm in the market right now seeing how the current prices equal my current home value, but still curious.
Honestly, that's a brilliant price for what you get. Even with the snout of the car as ugly as I think it is, at that price point, I'd absolutely consider a tech-package SH-AWD TL.
I never understood people who buy new from the dealership. With list prices quickly approaching the national AGI, people are looking at minimum payments of 25% takehome pay for five years. This obviously is not a car for the masses.

Exactly the point.
I don't know how long they'll keep the incentives. The idea is to drive the TL presence.
If their idea works and they jump to 4,000 vehicles per month, I am sure that the incentives will drop.
They're only selling 3,000 - 3,500/month now, but we don't know if January is better than December yet.

That is a LOT of car for the money, regardless of the polarizing styling (which I am still undecided on). It undercuts the 335i and IS350 by a few grand, IIRC the prices for those cars.
That's the answer to the first part of your question, just for the record.
The answer to the second part of your question is that this is Honda-Tech, and our primary raison d'etre is the discussion of Honda-related topics. To that extent, this is not any kind of advertising. It is the discussion of a relevant topic that fits within the nature of the site.
The focus is on safety, and ecological concerns that make high MPG and alternative fuel technologies more of a priority.
It's possible that the next MDX, for example, or the next RL/Legend will be some kind of hybrid technology, at least as an option.
Although Honda are obviously continuing to develop and test the twincam V8 that is suddenly all over the news, it's not really an absolute certainty that the motor is being produced for the Legend.

They need to hook the V6 TSX up with some marketing support. I dig the new agressive front fascia rims and exhaust of the V6, dont like that it is only an auto, but I may be able to overlook that for a sub 30K V6 TSX
Is this because the styling is so great or because the TL is Acura's best-selling car?
All kidding aside, that is a pretty darn good deal. The loaded SH-AWD Tech is the same price as a base 328i with an auto and sunroof. lulz

Not that I'm running this down or against it, but it's interesting if true. I've thought that there might be some sort of agreement like that for at least a few months. Personally I think that it's a win/win for both AHM and honda-tech... Honda is able to get their information out to Honda owners, and are able to read all of the gripes that we have about new Hondas and hopefully make them better.
For the record, I'd rock a new TL if I was anywhere near that income bracket. I still refuse to pay more than $15K for a car though, and you'd have to be blind to think the new TLs look better than the old ones.
Honda, if you're reading this: The CR-Z sucks without a K20 Si option lol.
Its kinda ugly on the outside, but inside its awesome. I'm driving one right now as a loaner and I would consider it, if I was looking for a new car at that price.
