replaced head gasket but b18 still running the same help!
i changed my water pump and the timing was off when i put it back together when i started it up, it made a weird noise and smoke( i would compare it to a lit cigarette burning on its own) came from the passenger side near the tranny.
Anyways, i got the timing resolved and ran just fine for about 20 min. it then ran like **** and i found chocolate milk on the dipstick.
I changed the head gasket and the engine is still doing the same thing( runs for 20 min then barely idles) minus the smoke from the back. my compression numbers are 160 152 155 160. Please help me.
if the engine is cold or i let it sit for a few minutes. it will work fine again IDK help

sounds like a problem with your fast idle thermo valve, totally unrelated to the work you did. i think there's a way to test that valve in accordance with the helms manual.
