ITR tranny with viscous LSD
So i have a b16 tranny 1-3 with gsr 4-5. Also has a viscous type lsd. Which is giving me a nightmare right now. I stripped the ring gear/countershaft teeth off at the track and need replacements.
I have searched everywhere I can think but no one seems to even know about the vicous lsd's. Where can you find parts to fix it? This ring gear is different than any b16/gsr/ls I have ever seen. It has teeth in the center of the ring gear for the lsd gears to run on (also has 14 bolts as opposed to 10) What to do? I would hate to have to go back together with one-wheel-peel.

You cannot get a new 14 bolt ring gear in the US as they were never offered in the US. You would have to contact a Honda dealer overseas or get someone to source one for you. That or source a good used complete 14 bolt FD (ring gear and matching countershaft).
Not sure if the viscous LSD's are rebuildable. Not worth doing so if they are. You can use an ITR LSD with a GSR or ITR FD, or an aftermarket LSD like the MFactory with either an OEM FD (GSR/ITR, B16A, or LS) or an aftermarket FD.
How much power does the car have? If it has much more than stock, I'd stay away from another viscous LSD.

Car is making close to 500whp. Im trying to get it fixed for as cheap as possible. Sold the car to a buddy, and he broke it (after 6 months of beating on it). Wouldnt mind keeping this lsd, but since parts seem rare. I doubt it will be going back in.
Not a weak part at all though, this trans has held up to multiple passes on 24.5x8.5" slicks (multiple 7.2x 1/8th mile passes and also a few 11.3x 1/4 mile passes pulling 1.7x 60's).

They are weak. Get it hot and it's an open diff for life.
Put a little thought into it and realized the viscous LSD's are not rebuildable. The entire center section must be replaced.

Viscous LSDs are not rebuildable. The viscous coupler portion of the diff is a sealed unit that is totally unserviceable. Once it's done, it's done.
I will give you what is left of mine for the price of shipping. I have a ring gear + countershaft +the viscous part and some other parts... I broke the little splined piece that is hooked to the inner gears
